Filmglaze DIY Double GlazingEasyfix Filmglaze Double Glazing Film is a cost effective way of double glazing, using a thin heat-shrinkable clear film. It's an ideal way to insulate a window either temporarily or permanantly without the cost of obtaining and installing glass or rigid plastic double glazing. The primary objective in any double glazing system is to trap a layer of still air between two surfaces which provides the insulation barrier. A still air gap of 20mm is the optimum distance for this purpose. Condensation can occur in any secondary glazing sysyem and to reduce the of this it is recommended that filmglaze be applied at the coolest part of the day. Filmglaze can be punctured very easily. We recommend that you quickly repair any punctures with a small piece of sticky tape to maintain a proper insulation barrier. Flimglaze comes in three different pack sizes, small, medium and large. All packs include double sided tape & fitting instructions. Tools required for installation are a sharp knife & a hairdryer.
