Hydronic Building Heating
Slab Heating: Insulated Hydronic Floor coil heating is laid onto the structural concrete slab and covered with a thin reinforced concrete slurry. Warm water is then circulated through the system of pipe work, the floor is heated and the warmth radiates throughout the home and operates up to 50% more efficiently than traditional slab heating systems.
Under floor heating is ideally suited to tiled areas and can be set up to run in conjunction with panel radiator systems as well.
Customers interested in a slab heating system will need to provide floor plans to their enter store so that an efficient energy source can be specified and accurate quotation created.
Convective Radiator Panel Systems; Hydronic heating is the most pleasant form of central heating and operates by re-circulating hot water through radiators, skirting board convectors or fan convectors located strategically around the house. Hydronic heating requires a boiler to heat the water which is then re-circulated around the house. There are a number of products than can operate as a boiler in this type of heating system and they include heat pumps, natural gas or LPG fired boilers.
The size and type of radiators and/or convectors determine the amount of heat provided. One of the many benefits provided by hydronic heating is that each radiator and convector can be individually thermostatically controlled, providing the ultimate in comfort for each room. For example, living areas can be maintained at a higher temperature than bedrooms and unused rooms can be maintained at a lower temperature or switched off entirely.
